Job summary

CTG is seeking a Mainframe/Systematics Developer to support COBOL/CICS applications and Systematics RM/GN components for a remote 12-month engagement. The role includes troubleshooting online and batch environments, supporting SDR/TBR/ICR/TCR components, and coordinating issue resolution with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will develop and review code, JCL, and job-control changes, while preparing implementation plans and technical docs.

Qualifications

Mainframe development with COBOL/CICS/DB2/JCL/VSAM in online and batch environments.
Experience with Systematics RM/GN.
Familiarity with REST APIs and mainframe integrations.
Strong analytical, problem solving, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, test, and implement COBOL/CICS applications and Systematics RM/GN components.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across online and batch mainframe processing environments.
Analyze and support Systematics RM functionality and GN components (SDR, TBR, ICR, TCR).
Investigate production issues, document findings, and coordinate resolution or escalation.
Develop and review application code, JCL, and job-control changes.
Prepare implementation plans, backout procedures, test results and technical documentation.
Support application integrations using REST APIs as needed.
Maintain project artifacts, address review feedback, and ensure deliverables meet acceptance criteria.
Provide status updates and knowledge transfer to team members.
