Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Plano, Texas seeks an experienced Mainframe Engineer/Developer to design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications while working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions from development through production.

The role requires 5+ years COBOL/CICS/DB2 experience, JCL, MQ, and related tools; strong communication; ability to work independently or in a team; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and debugging mainframe applications.
• 5+ years of COBOL development experience.
• Experience with CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, MQ, JCL.
• Familiarity with secure file transfer (SFTP/AWX).
• Understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, and debug mainframe applications.
• Perform code analysis, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and environment teams to promote code across development, testing, and production environments.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
• Participate in application maintenance, enhancements, and issue resolution.
