Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a M365 Engineer to implement, administer, and govern Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Viva, Power Platform, Fabric, and Copilot. You’ll collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable collaboration and AI-enabled workplace solutions.

The role emphasizes governance, documentation, and continuous improvement, with a focus on security and compliance across Azure services and modernization efforts with Copilot readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, CS, IT or equivalent.
• 3+ years administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise.
• Experience governing SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Experience with Viva, Power Platform, Fabric or similar platforms.
• Experience with Azure services and platform governance.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Graph API and REST/JSON.
• Strong security and compliance knowledge (MFA, CA, DLP).

Responsibilities

• Administer and govern Microsoft 365 and related workloads.
• Support SharePoint Online content collaboration and governance.
• Partner with stakeholders to enable automation and reporting with Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
• Support Fabric and Power BI administration for analytics and reporting.
• Manage Azure services supporting Modern Workplace solutions.
• Assist Copilot readiness, adoption, and end-user enablement.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell, Graph API, REST APIs, and webhooks.
• Maintain security, compliance and change management with cross-team partners.
• Create and maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
