Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Systems Engineer III to join the Digital Workplace Technology Collaboration Engineering team. The role focuses on implementing and optimizing Microsoft Copilot and AI-powered capabilities within Microsoft 365 in a remote capacity limited to Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas.

You will guide adoption, governance, and operationalization of Copilot across the enterprise, ensuring secure and compliant use of AI technologies, deploying Copilot features,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 6+ years in systems engineering and programming
• Preferred: Microsoft 365 Copilot, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Purview familiarity

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and ongoing administration of Microsoft Copilot across M365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams)
• Develop governance, compliance, and security controls for Copilot and AI-enabled services
• Identify Copilot use cases and design technical solutions to drive adoption and measurable business outcomes
• Optimize and support Copilot readiness and ongoing usage of Microsoft 365 services
• Design, test, and deploy automation to support Copilot deployment, monitoring, and reporting
• Monitor service health, usage analytics, and adoption metrics to improve ROI
• Support IT audits with risk mitigation related to AI and M365 services
• Drive continuous improvement by reviewing product releases and roadmaps
• Provide mentorship to system administrators and engineers
