Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Model Governance and Controllership team in Richmond, VA, with remote options within Eastern/Central Time. You will become an expert on LTC models, data flows, and control design to ensure compliance with company standards.

The role requires overseeing the control environment, guiding on new processes, reviewing high‑risk controls, and collaborating with IT and Operations to increase transparency and accountability.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, finance, or related field.
• FSA or ASA designation with commensurate experience.
• 5+ years actuarial experience, preferably LTC.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment and ensure cross‑team consistency.
• Consult on controls for new or enhanced processes.
• Review key high‑risk controls and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with IT and Operations on data issues and controls.
• Develop clear model/process documentation for transparency.
• Provide governance peer review for LTC models and processes.
• Expand oversight to new teams and products.
