Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Mitigation Escalation and Research Specialist to work a remote schedule. You will coordinate with Advocacy, Customer Research, Collections and other departments to provide timely responses to complaints and inquiries, including regulatory bodies.

The role emphasizes detailed root-cause analysis, imaging documentation, and tracking trends in a central database, with opportunities to improve processes and train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Four years of combined loss mitigation or mortgage servicing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Loss Mitigation processes and investor programs.
• Excellent Fiserv knowledge and ability to research in systems and imaging.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.

Responsibilities

• Track requests to meet regulatory response timelines and provide trends to Loss Mitigation Management.
• Research and respond to inquiries to meet regulatory timelines.
• Provide root-cause analysis and imaging documentation as required.
• Collaborate with Loss Mitigation Managers to propose resolutions.
• Coordinate with other departments on loan-level issues.
• Create and maintain a database to track issues and provide monthly trends to Management.
• Serve as subject matter expert for Loss Mitigation departments.
• Assist in identifying training opportunities and continuous process improvements.
• Minimal travel supporting business operations may be required.
• Handle other duties and projects as assigned.
