Job summary

PeoplesBank is seeking a Loan Processing Representative to support our lending operations remotely. You will onboard loan applications through multiple channels, review files for completeness, and coordinate with borrowers, originators, underwriters, attorneys, and other stakeholders to drive a compliant, timely loan process.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree or related experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college OR technical school; OR six months to one-year related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Onboard new loan files and confirm accuracy of loan data, determining if additional documentation is required.
• Review new loan files for completeness, accuracy, and qualification.
• Advise borrowers on product requirements, pricing, policies, and guidelines.
• Manage pipeline and serve as primary contact for all parties and third-party stakeholders with ongoing communication.
• Communicate with loan origination, underwriting staff and external stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending rules, federal and state regulations, and bank policies.
• Order all applicable documentation for files (e.g., appraisals, verifications, tax transcripts).
• Adhere to procedures and contribute to updates and maintenance of processes.
• Review HMDA and Mavent reports for accuracy and make changes as needed.
• Schedule closings and prepare closing packages for consumer loans.
• Verify conditions are met and loans comply with regulatory guidelines prior to closing.
