Job summary

Wayland Baptist University (WBU) is seeking a Distance Learning Technologist and Administrative Specialist to support the WBUonline LMS for students, faculty, and staff. This REMOTE role involves problem-solving, basic course design/review, data entry, and reporting across multiple databases, under the Director of WBUonline.

Responsibilities include assisting with Blackboard, providing instructor support, coordinating workshops, proctoring oversight, and maintaining calendars and tool lists.

Qualifications

• Some college experience or other professional training related to computer-based technology.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience with Blackboard (or Canvas) and distance learning a plus.
• One year full-time paid customer-service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides LMS support to students, staff and faculty by phone, email, and Zoom.
• Assists faculty on course tools, design, and meeting WBUonline standards within the LMS.
• Coordinates workshops and training sessions for instructors with the Director.
• Oversees Last Date of Attendance requests and proctor approval process.
• Maintains the WBUonline academic calendar and toolbox task list.
• Assists with applications like Blackboard, Yuja, InfoBase Learning, and MS Office.
