Job summary

South Shore Behavioral Health Center in Champaign, Illinois, is hiring a Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide culturally competent care in a remote setting. You will work with a diverse patient population, delivering individual, family, and group therapies within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctoral degree and an Illinois license (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW), with crisis intervention skills and experience in EHR documentation, committed to equity

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Illinois license (LMFT/LCPC/LCSW).
• Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy with a focus on cultural responsiveness and inclusivity.
• Excellent crisis intervention skills and ability to navigate stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments and tailor treatment plans.
• Use evidence-based modalities to implement individualized treatment strategies.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions for diverse populations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians for integrated care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
• Educate patients and families about mental health resources and services.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in EHR systems.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings to improve service delivery.
