Bayview Psychotherapy Services in Smithtown, NY seeks a Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide remote, client-centered care. You will conduct culturally sensitive assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and deliver individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth.

Collaborate with psychiatrists and clinicians to coordinate care, educate clients on mental health options, and maintain compliant documentation. A NY license is required to practice."

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, MFT, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid license as LMFT, LLMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, effective treatment modalities, and cultural competency in therapy.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive practices.
• Robust crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm and effectively manage challenging scenarios.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with a broad range of clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications relevant to the role.
• Commitment to adhering to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining healthy professional boundaries.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsabilités

• Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments and develop customized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient, ensuring care is personalized and respectful of cultural identity.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to promote resilience, well-being, and recovery.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and follow-up planning during emergencies.
• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client documentation in compliance with ethical guidelines.
• Engage in regular team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competence training.
• Stay current with research, best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health therapy.
