Qualifications

• Experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Experience performing legal research and preparing pleadings, motions and discovery documents with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of insurance, legal ethics and confidentiality.
• Familiarity with tort and contract law and the judicial system.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorney in trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, discovery documents, motions, deposition summaries, abstracts and legal memoranda under supervision.
• Organize and summarize medical records for discovery and trial preparation.
• Conduct investigations and discovery with limited supervision.
• Draft discovery responses and prepare witnesses and exhibits for trial.
• Assist in complex depositions, hearings and trials as needed.
• Represent insured or company in small claims/conciliation court if applicable by jurisdiction.
• Review files to identify issues and possible settlements.
