Responsibilities include e-filing in state and federal courts, maintaining attorney calendars, coordinating depositions, and ensuring client guidelines are followed.Remote options are available within a flexible work model.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal assistant experience in civil defense at a high-volume firm.
• Filing in state and federal courts, including E-Filing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• File and circulate pleadings in state and federal court.
• Maintain attorney docketing and deadlines per court rules.
• Support attorneys with processing invoices and scheduling depositions.
• Open new files by gathering client information.
• Coordinate travel and meetings; manage attorney schedules.
• Prepare correspondence and other written documents under direction.
• Handle tracking and disposition of subpoenas or info requests.
• Keep files organized and well-maintained.
• Monitor files and escalate issues as needed.
