Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Litigation Consultant - General Liability to handle high-end cases across all states. You will develop strategies for satisfactory resolutions, manage complex scenarios, and coordinate with local counsel while supporting Sedgwick's quality programs.

The role emphasizes flexible work arrangements and a strong compliance mindset, with a starting pay range publicly noted.

Qualifications

• Ten years of litigation experience including five years in claims management.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; JD preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews reports/forms, responds to inquiries, seeks legal opinions, and communicates resolutions.
• Handles high-end cases with serious injuries and complex coverage scenarios.
• Responds to decisions or court orders; creates action plans; determines need for examinations.
• Identifies cases for settlements/redemptions and coordinates with client designees.
• Requests legal/private investigations; coordinates with local counsel; monitors local counsel performance.
• Attends and participates in mediations, trials, arbitrations or hearings as needed.
• Works with partners to effect early return-to-work.
• Performs other duties and supports the organization's quality programs.
