Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Litigation Attorney for a fully remote position focused on insurance bad faith matters in California. The role trains a business litigator in coverage work under the owner, with exposure to real court and depositions in a firm that handles 45–50 active bad faith cases monthly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience with law and motion work; strong writing ability.
• Active California bar license.
• Own calendar management and reliable follow-through.
• Deposition experience preferred (not required).
• Insurance coverage or bad faith experience not required, trial experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle business and commercial litigation and law and motion work on the firm's bad faith and commercial cases.
• Draft motions, including motions for summary judgment, and argue them in court.
• Attend, take, and defend depositions with training from the team.
• Learn insurance bad faith coverage defense through direct training from the owner's team.
• Work on assigned cases alongside one partner with oversight from the owner.
• Prepare cases for trial, which the owner and a partner try.
• Prepare and format your own work product with paralegal support.
• Manage your calendar in Clio and follow matters through to completion.
• Bill 2,000+ hours per year.
