Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. is seeking a Remote Legal Assistant to support attorneys in civil litigation matters from its Ohio offices. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package offered.

The role involves drafting correspondence, managing filings, monitoring deadlines, assisting with electronic filing and dictation, and coordinating trial scheduling. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to handle calendar management and phone

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense.
• Strong knowledge in insurance defense and general liability.
• Ohio State and Federal Court filing, including E-Filing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to use dictation software and a machine.
• Solid analytical and drafting skills.
• Requires critical thinking, superior communication and organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and prepares correspondence and other documents as required (responses, reports, filings, pleadings, motions, etc.).
• Monitors files and escalates issues requiring attorney involvement.
• Assist attorneys in all aspects of litigation (digital dictation, scheduling, electronic filing, maintaining files).
• Maintains calendar for trial and discovery deadlines; coordinates and assists in preparation.
• Answers incoming phone calls and routes to the proper person.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
