Job summary

K12 Coalition is seeking a Literacy Leadership Consultant to partner with district and school leaders to improve literacy systems aligned with the Science of Reading. The consultant delivers job-embedded coaching, supports data-informed planning, and strengthens leadership capacity across sites.

Reporting to the Vice President of Professional Learning, you will design, deliver and refine professional learning experiences and help districts advance literacy outcomes at scale.

Qualifications

• Masters in administration, special education, or reading.
• Experience improving literacy outcomes in schools or systems.
• Experience in Title 1 settings and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Build trust-based relationships with principals, coaches, and district leaders.
• Deliver job-embedded coaching to strengthen literacy instruction.
• Lead data-informed planning and intervention at system level.
• Design and deliver targeted professional learning for leaders.
• Develop multi-year plans for sustained literacy improvement.
