Job summary

Canonical is hiring an Associate Support Engineer to deliver expert level Linux and open source support to customers via the full technical stack (cloud, desktop, IoT). This globally remote role requires strong problem solving, case ownership, and clear communication as you triage, diagnose, and resolve issues in accordance with SLA.

You will work from a remote home office, contribute to knowledge bases, and collaborate with engineers across regions.

Qualifications

• Strong academic track record in high school and university.
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject (CS, MIS, EE).
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support from a remote home office.
• Own and resolve cases via phone, email, and web.
• Act as internal advocate and keep customers updated.
• Follow SLA and manage customer expectations.
• Contribute knowledge base articles and notices.
• Participate in a regular weekend rotation.
