Job summary

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, is hiring a Cloud Support Engineer in a globally remote role. You will work with customers to troubleshoot Linux-based cloud environments, triage issues, and collaborate with internal engineering teams to deliver timely, clear solutions.

You will develop deep product knowledge, contribute to knowledge base articles, and participate in regular rotations to ensure reliable care for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting Linux systems.
• Familiarity with virtualization or cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Ability to read stack traces and logs to guide customers.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers in remote sessions and tickets to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Canonical Engineering teams to bridge code fixes and customer needs.
• Own support cases with clear communication and accountability.
• Provide Ubuntu lifecycle guidance and timelines to customers.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles for the community.
