Canonical is seeking a Linux Software Engineer to work on Ubuntu for Next-Gen Silicon in a globally remote role. You will collaborate across distributed teams to optimize Ubuntu for new silicon architectures, debug open source code, and assist customers with app and SDK integration across Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.

The position emphasizes strong C/C++ and Python fundamentals, open source maintenance, and Linux packaging experience within a flexible, globally distributed work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in C, C++ and Python.
• Experience or interest in Linux distribution packaging.
• Experience or interest in open source maintenance and licenses.
• Fundamental understanding of package management and dependency resolution.

Responsibilities
