Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Remote Linux Engineer to join our cross-functional infrastructure team. You will administer RHEL environments, design and deploy AWS infrastructure, and automate provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and scalable cloud operations. You will collaborate with development, security, and application teams to improve deployments and runbooks, while supporting continuous delivery and incident response in a remote

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux administration experience.
• Experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Scripting in Bash or Python; experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls).
• Experience with LDAP/Active Directory integration and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Administrate and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and CloudFormation).
• Automate server provisioning and configuration management using Ansible.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability.
