Job summary

WRS Health is seeking a Linux/AWS Systems Administrator with a Debian focus to manage and improve our cloud infrastructure. You will design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based systems, and implement automation using Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK, writing scripts to automate routine tasks.

Responsibilities include monitoring, security hardening, CI/CD support, and collaborating with engineering to ensure reliable, scalable production workloads. Remote-friendly with standard US business hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Linux system administration in production.
• Experience managing Debian-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Scripting in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Debian-based Linux systems in production environments.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3).
• Implement infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Write scripts to automate routine ops and improve reliability.
• Ensure performance, availability, and security; address incidents promptly.
• Configure and manage monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch.
• Support containerized environments (Docker, ECS, EKS, Fargate) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain documentation and version control with Git.
