Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in life insurance underwriting, with medical and financial underwriting expertise
• Strong understanding of life insurance products and underwriting guidelines
• Ability to interpret complex medical and financial information and assess risk
• Excellent analytical, attention to detail, and root-cause analysis skills
• Strong written and verbal communication to present findings to underwriters and leadership
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion with sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-issue audits and monitoring of underwriting initiatives for technical accuracy and guideline adherence
• Review underwriting decisions for medical, financial, and operational soundness
• Identify errors, trends, and themes in audit results and prepare structured management reports
• Collaborate to develop CAPs and track remediation progress
• Support enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework, including KRIs and governance standards
• Translate audit findings into targeted training and guideline clarifications
• Provide input into innovation initiatives by testing impact on underwriting quality and risk
• Assist with design and execution of targeted audits for underwriting innovation
• Ensure audit documentation is complete and suitable for internal and regulatory review
• Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement of audit frameworks, metrics, and reporting
