Qualifications

• 5+ years of life insurance underwriting experience, including medical and financial underwriting.
• Solid understanding of life insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and risk selection principles.
• Ability to interpret complex medical and financial information and assess risk.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset with ability to spot patterns in audits.
• Clear, constructive written and verbal communication to underwriters and leadership.
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post-issue audits and monitor new underwriting initiatives for technical accuracy and guideline adherence.
• Review underwriting decisions for medical, financial, and operational soundness.
• Identify errors, trends, and themes in audit results and prepare structured reports for management.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Management and Risk Management on Corrective Action Plans.
• Support enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework and governance standards.
• Translate audit findings into targeted training and guideline clarifications.
• Provide input on innovation initiatives by testing impact on underwriting quality and risk.
• Assist with design and execution of targeted audits for Underwriting Innovation.
• Ensure audit documentation is complete for internal audit and regulatory review.
• Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement of audit frameworks and reporting.
