Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales professional. You’ll help families who requested information understand their options and apply, and we’ll walk you through licensing if needed.

This is a 100% remote, independent-contractor role with exclusive leads and ongoing mentorship. Training, carrier-matching options, and state licensing guidance are provided to support your success.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, support, or call-center work where listening was key.
• Willing to complete state licensing before selling; timelines vary by state.
• Must have a computer, a phone, and reliable internet.
• 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Return calls from people who have already asked about life insurance.
• Listen first to understand household goals and concerns before presenting options.
• Explain options in plain language, then complete the application with the client.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM for seamless follow-up.
• Check in with each client while the carrier reviews their application.
• Keep learning products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training.
