The Wood Agency Life in the United States is seeking an independent life insurance sales professional to work remotely as a 1099 contractor. You will contact people who requested information, review finances, explain carrier options, complete applications, and guide clients through underwriting with careful, accurate disclosures.

Candidates with a banking or credit union background, comfort with forms and recordkeeping, and the ability to discuss family finances respectfully will fit well.

Qualifications

• A background in banking, lending, or credit union member service.
• Comfortable with forms, disclosures, and precise recordkeeping.
• Able to talk about family finances respectfully and without pressure.
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to get licensed before your first sale.
• Self-directed, planning your own day and your own follow-up.
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Contact people who have already requested life insurance information and book appointments.
• Review each household's finances and obligations before discussing any coverage.
• Explain how options differ across carriers, then complete the application together.
• Handle applications and disclosures accurately, because details matter to underwriting.
• Track every open case through the carrier's review and keep clients informed.
• Log activity in the CRM and keep up with compliance training.
