Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking independently contracted life insurance agents who can work 100% remotely in the United States. Prior teaching or coaching experience helps you explain coverage clearly to families who requested information, on a schedule you manage.

You will meet clients by phone or video, assess needs, present options in plain language, and guide the application through underwriting. Licensing support and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting.
• Gift for explaining complicated ideas without talking down to anyone.
• Comfortable planning your own schedule instead of following a bell.
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to get licensed before your first sale.
• Willing to learn a new regulated field from the ground up.
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Meet by phone or video with people who've already asked about life insurance.
• Start by listening to the family's situation, goals, and worries.
• Break coverage options into plain language, then complete the application together.
• Follow each application through underwriting and keep families informed.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM.
• Keep learning, because products and rules change and training continues.
