Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking a remote, independent-contractor life insurance sales agent. You will connect with families who have requested information, listen to their needs, and compare coverage options in plain language, then help complete the application.

You will work autonomously, prior licensing is required or you will obtain it, and you will benefit from mentorship and access to exclusive carrier contracts. Training continues as products and rules evolve.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly to families.
• Active plan to obtain or hold state life insurance license before first sale.

Responsibilities

• Meet by phone or video with people who asked about life insurance.
• Listen to families’ situation, goals, and worries.
• Explain coverage options in plain language and complete applications.
• Follow applications through underwriting and inform families.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM.
• Continue training as products and rules change.
