Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking licensed life insurance sales agents to work remotely as independent contractors. You’ll meet prospects by phone or video, assess needs, explain coverage options in plain language, and guide families through the application and underwriting process.

You’ll have access to multiple carriers, exclusive leads, and mentorship from agency leaders. This role lets you set your own schedule while staying compliant with licensing requirements and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have a state life insurance license or plan to obtain one before first sale.
• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to manage your own schedule and work remotely.
• Authorized to work in the United States (18+).

Responsibilities

• Meet by phone or video with people who have asked about life insurance.
• Listen to families’ situations, goals, and concerns.
• Explain coverage options in plain language and complete the application together.
• Follow each application through underwriting and keep families informed.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM.
• Continue learning as products and regulations change.
