Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is seeking independent-contractor life insurance sales agents for a 100% remote role. You will educate families about their options, guide them through licensing if needed, and help complete applications.

This 1099 position focuses on relationships, follow-ups, and ongoing training with mentorship from Ben and Andrea. Must be licensed or willing to obtain licensing in your state.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, support, or call-center work where listening came first.
• Patient explaining unfamiliar details more than once without sounding rehearsed.
• Willing to complete state licensing before selling; timelines vary by state.
• A computer, a phone, and reliable internet.
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Return calls from people who have already asked about life insurance.
• Listen first: learn the household, goals, and concerns before presenting anything.
• Explain options in plain language, then complete the application together.
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM so no follow-up slips.
• Check in with each client while the carrier reviews their application.
• Keep learning products, carriers, and state rules through ongoing training.
