Job summary

Families and Youth Innovations Plus is seeking an independently licensed clinician to join the Mobile Crisis team in New Mexico. The role involves remote assessment and crisis management with in-person dispatches when needed for Doña Ana County crises.

You will provide risk assessments, trauma-informed care, and care navigation to connect individuals with appropriate services. The position reports to the Chief Medical Officer within the Mobile Crisis department and requires an active NM license,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Current independent and unrestricted professional license valid in the state of New Mexico.
• 2+ years experience in crisis services, emergency psychiatry, or similar settings.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of psychiatric conditions and crisis modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Training in suicide prevention and trauma-informed care.
• Familiarity with community resources and referral networks.
• Experience working with both adults and youth in crisis.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to crisis calls and conduct remote risk assessments where indicated.
• Provide trauma-informed service, de-escalation, and crisis intervention.
• Develop safety plans and coordinate appropriate level of care.
• Facilitate warm handoffs to higher level of care or ongoing care navigation.
• Document all clinical interventions according to program standards.
• Collaborate with emergency services, mental health facilities, and community providers.
