Job summary

CorVel is seeking a Liability Claims Specialist for a remote position in the United States. The role handles non-complex medical and minor liability claims under supervision and requires an active adjuster license in the home state.

You will evaluate coverage, determine validity, set reserves, and communicate status to clients and claimants, while adhering to guidelines and supporting more complex claims when needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Auto or General Liability Claims experience.
• Active Home State Adjuster license required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Current Adjuster’s License in state of operation required.
• Multi-State license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage non-complex medical only and minor liability claims under supervision.
• Receive claims, confirm coverage and acknowledge the claim.
• Determine validity and compensability of claims.
• Establish reserves and authorize payments within limits.
• Communicate claim status with customers, claimants and clients.
• Collaborate on more complex or problematic claims as needed.
