Job summary

Arnold & Porter is seeking a Legal Research Training Analyst to join our West Coast team. The role blends advanced legal research with the design and delivery of training programs for attorneys and staff.

Based on a firm-approved U.S. location near Seattle, the position offers a remote or hybrid work arrangement, with in-office days, and opportunities to develop on-demand learning resources while staying current with AI-enabled research tools.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years in a law firm, academic law library, or equivalent.
• Experience conducting legal research using Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, and HeinOnline.
• Experience designing and coordinating training programs or content.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong client service orientation and relationship-building ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal, business, and competitive intelligence research to attorneys and staff.
• Develop live and virtual legal research training programs.
• Create online on-demand training materials and resources.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements.
• Coordinate vendor training events and stay current on research tools.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation for new attorneys and staff.
