Job summary

Arnold & Porter, a leading international law firm, seeks a Legal Research Training Analyst to join the West Coast-based team. The role blends advanced legal research with building and delivering training programs for attorneys and staff, in a remote or hybrid setting.

Approximately 60% of your time focuses on research support across the firm, with 40% devoted to developing training resources, online modules, and onboarding materials, staying current on AI tools and learning technologies.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited school.
• At least 3 years in a law firm or legal library environment.
• Experience researching on Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law, HeinOnline.
• Experience designing training programs or instructional content.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to build relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal, business, and competitive intelligence research for attorneys and staff firmwide (approx. 60%).
• Develop live and virtual legal research training programs for attorneys and staff (approx. 40%).
• Create engaging online on-demand training materials and resources on the intranet.
• Stay current on developments in legal research platforms, instructional tech, and AI tools.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation programs for new attorneys and staff.
