Job summary

Arnold & Porter is an international law firm with offices across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The firm seeks a Legal Research Training Analyst to join its Seattle-area/West Coast team, with options for fully remote or hybrid work and a focus on training and reference services.

The role combines sophisticated legal research for attorneys and staff with developing a formal training curriculum, online learning content, and onboarding support.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years in a law firm or equivalent legal information environment.
• Experience researching with Lexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg Law and HeinOnline.
• Experience designing and coordinating training programs and workshops.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong client service orientation and relationships with attorneys and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal, business, and competitive intelligence research support.
• Develop live and virtual legal research training programs.
• Create on-demand learning materials for intranet access.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate vendor training events.
• Stay current on legal research platforms and AI tools.
• Assist with onboarding for new attorneys and staff.
