Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Legal Counsel - Insured Litigation to support the assessment and management of medical malpractice, auto liability, general liability, aviation liability and workers' compensation pre-litigation and litigation matters. This role coordinates with third-party administrators, insurance carriers, outside counsel and employees.

Ideal candidates will hold a JD, be admitted in good standing in TX or CO, with about five years of relevant experience and a practical

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and admission to practice in TX or CO in good standing.
• Minimum five years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience in medical malpractice, auto liability, general liability; aviation liability and workers' compensation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between outside counsel and employees.
• Assist with collection of data for discovery responses; prepare, review and approve responses.
• Provide sound legal advice to operations and support departments.
• Conduct legal research on diverse substantive matters as needed.
• Review, assess and resolve liability complaints, threats, claims and litigation management.
• Participate in risk management processes and improvements.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the company services, solutions and business models.
