Job summary

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP is seeking two experienced Legal Billers to support its recent Aderant implementation. The roles require hands-on Aderant experience, strong legal billing skills, and the ability to handle work independently.

Onsite during initial training with potential hybrid flexibility afterward; remote consideration for highly qualified candidates. Two openings with temporary employment and potential temp-to-hire; start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience required.
• Hands-on Aderant experience required; ideally, at least two to three years.
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, and LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.
• Ability to work independently and contribute with minimal ramp-up time.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices using Aderant.
• Manage assigned billing work accurately and within established deadlines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and compliance with client billing requirements.
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices, including through BillBlast.
• Work with LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and electronic billing issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys, billing colleagues, and accounting staff to address questions and complete billing.
• Share Aderant knowledge and assist colleagues as needed.
