Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a People Specialist (Leave & Accommodations) for a full-time, 100% remote contract. You will lead the interactive process for disability, medical, parental, and personal leaves and implement ADA accommodations, while ensuring regulatory compliance and data accuracy in the HRIS.

Required is a CLMS certification and at least 3 years of US disability/leave administration experience, with strong knowledge of ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PFWA, HIPAA and California programs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• CLMS certification is required.
• >=3 years in US disability/leave administration or HR compliance.
• Deep understanding of federal/state leave laws (ADA, FMLA, PFWA, CFRA, HIPAA).
• California fluency with state programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead interactive process for disability, medical, parental, and personal leaves and accommodations under ADA.
• Provide employee relations perspective on complex leave issues.
• Design and coordinate return-to-work plans.
• Oversee third-party leave administrators and drive process improvements.
• Oversee workers’ compensation claim tracking and resolution with the carrier.
• Serve as SME for core leave programs (FMLA, parental leave, state programs).
• Maintain leave records in HRIS for payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Prepare metrics and predictive analytics on leave utilization.
