Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, Logic, Theoretical Computer Science, or closely related field.
• Strong ability to translate informal arguments into machine-verifiable Lean 4 proofs.
• Experience with proof assistants and formalization projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate informal mathematical proofs into Lean 4 formalizations with emphasis on correctness and reproducibility.
• Analyze proofs across domains to identify hidden assumptions and formalizable sub-structures.
• Construct formalizations that reveal limitations of current proof assistants and automation.
• Investigate why automated provers fail and articulate findings clearly for teams.
• Collaborate to design strategies for improving formal verification pipelines.
• Provide guidance on proof decomposition, lemma selection, and structuring of formal models.
• Formalize classical proofs and compare machine-verifiable structures with textbook arguments.
• Uncover patterns or generalizations in mathematics through formalization work.
