Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer - Technical Project Lead to own the technical delivery of HV/EHV substation EPC projects from concept to energization. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across substation physical, P&C, SCADA/communications, relay settings, civil/structural, and related disciplines, coordinating interfaces with clients and suppliers.

The role requires a PE license with 8+ years in utility substation design/engineering, and travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Demonstrated experience as lead engineer/project engineer/technical lead for HV/EHV substation projects.
Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate interfaces across disciplines.

Responsibilities

Serve as the overall technical lead for HV and EHV substation EPC projects and deliver integrated technical solutions.
Lead multidisciplinary teams across substation physical, P&C, SCADA/communications, civil/structural disciplines.
Establish technical approach, design basis, execution strategy, and interdisciplinary requirements.
Coordinate interfaces between engineering disciplines, equipment suppliers, construction teams, and clients.
Provide technical oversight and QA/QC across engineering packages.
Mentor engineers and develop future project technical leads.
Travel locally/regionally up to 15%.
