Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our SaaS team. This is a remote role with occasional in-person meetings for candidates in the United States.

You will design, develop and deploy cloud-based enterprise software used by energy organizations, focusing on performance, security and scalability. You will lead a hands-on technical team, drive architecture decisions, review code, and mentor engineers while delivering high-quality solutions that support energy efficiency

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing in PHP (8.x) with advanced understanding of object-oriented PHP and best practices.
• 6+ years of experience building software using PHP frameworks, e.g. Laravel.
• Building RESTful APIs and integrating with other services.
• Familiarity with Laravel’s architecture and features.
• 4+ years building software using Vue.js (or similar JS frameworks).
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Building single page applications using composition API.
• Experience with state management and handling.
• Component- and modularized-based design.
• Understanding of build tools (e.g. vite, npm).
• Experience with scalable SaaS platforms.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Self-motivation and ability to work in an agile team environment.
• Knowledge of working within an agile team-based environment to develop a Software SaaS product.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of a scalable SaaS product using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a SaaS product aligned with business goals.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability of the product.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across the platform.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
• Engage in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Contribute to strategic direction of software development at Resource Innovations.
