Resource Innovations, a women-led energy transformation firm, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to shape the architecture of a large-scale SaaS platform in the energy sector. You will partner with senior engineers, product leaders, and cross-functional teams to modernize and scale critical systems, while remaining hands-on in design and development.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience building complex, scalable enterprise applications.
• Experience at Principal/Architect level or equivalent technical leadership.
• Proven experience designing and modernizing enterprise software platforms.
• Ability to translate architectural strategy into practical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide the evolution of platform architecture to improve scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Develop a practical modernization approach balancing future-state architecture with current commitments.
• Remain hands-on in design and development of critical platform capabilities.
• Lead technical design and code reviews; establish engineering standards; guide complex decisions across architecture domains.
• Mentor engineers and translate technical direction into successful delivery.
