Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead design, development and deployment of a cloud-based SaaS product for energy organizations. This hands-on technical lead role emphasizes scalable, production-grade software and strong collaboration across teams.

The role requires deep PHP/Laravel and Vue.js experience, RESTful APIs, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with a focus on energy efficiency and decarbonization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of PHP development experience with OOP and best practices.
• 4+ years building software with Vue.js or similar JS frameworks.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and integrating with services.
• Familiarity with Laravel architecture and features.
• Proficient version control using Git.
• Experience in scalable SaaS platforms and cloud-based deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a scalable, secure SaaS product using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software SaaS products aligned with business needs.
• Ensure performance, security, and scalability with focus on energy efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews and improve code quality.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the platform for optimal user experience.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Lead the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and maintenance.
• Contribute to strategic direction for software development supporting energy efficiency and decarbonization.
• Uphold RI core values of Climate Change, Equity, Innovation, Scale & Impact.
• Other duties as assigned.
