UL Research Institutes in the Digital Safety Research Institute (DSRI) seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of large-scale software systems for safety research. This is a REMOTE opportunity, with mentorship and technical leadership across teams.

You will guide architecture, implement scalable data and service boundaries, and foster AI-assisted engineering practices while shaping engineering standards and collaboration across DSRI.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Experience leading teams or mentoring engineers.
• Strong in React and Python for large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with data modeling, API design, and PostgreSQL.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, define, and develop full-stack software systems for large-scale research and evaluation.
• Set technical direction across projects and ensure architectural alignment with DSRI priorities.
• Provide mentorship and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices and responsible use of AI tools.
