Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or closely related field with 8+ years of research experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI, software engineering, and safety research.
• Experience securing research funding and leading research programs.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, design, and manage independent AI test and evaluation research programs.
• Lead development of competitive research proposals and funding strategies.
• Serve as principal investigator for Digital Safety’s independent research programs.
• Apply AI/ML and software engineering expertise to execute research programs.
• Analyze results to inform design decisions and validate evaluation outcomes.
• Plan and execute research challenges and publish findings at conferences.
