Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Lead Software Architect to set the technical vision for our key product lines. This fully remote role requires a strategic leader who can design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems across distributed teams.

You will guide engineering, define architectural standards, and translate business requirements into technical roadmaps. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software development, a track record with microservices and cloud-native architectures,

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in a software architect/leadership role.
Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
Deep understanding of microservices, cloud-native technologies, and design patterns.
Expertise across multiple programming languages and database technologies.
Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve the software architecture ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
Develop and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices.
Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical strategies.
Evaluate and select technologies and frameworks for new and existing systems.
Conduct architectural reviews and guide design decisions.
