Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Software Architect to shape the technical strategy across our product portfolio. You will define architectural standards, patterns, and roadmaps while mentoring engineering teams in a distributed, fully remote environment.

You will collaborate with product management to translate requirements into scalable solutions, evaluate new technologies, and ensure security, performance, and maintainability across cloud-native microservices and APIs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in architect or senior tech leadership.
• Proven design/implementation experience for large-scale distributed cloud-native systems (microservices, APIs).
• Deep understanding of architectural styles, patterns and tech trends.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize the overall technical architecture and technology stack for the company's software products.
• Develop architectural principles, standards, and best practices for consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance performance, security, and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on architectural decisions.
• Oversee implementation of architectural designs, ensuring adherence to specs and standards.
