Jobgether is seeking an experienced Lead Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise cybersecurity across a distributed healthcare environment. You will provide hands-on technical leadership across security engineering, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and IAM, guiding a team of three security professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information security, CS, or related field.
• 8+ years of information security or security engineering experience.
• 2+ years of leadership/supervision experience in security.
• Experience overseeing MS/EDR security providers and incident response.
• Hands-on with SIEM/XDR, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, email security, network security, cloud security, and PAM.
• Experience securing Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID; familiarity with Rapid7 InsightIDR/InsightVM.
• Strong vulnerability management, patching, and compensating controls.
• Healthcare security knowledge (HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, NIST CSF).
• Experience with MFA, conditional access, and IAM processes.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
• Ability to coordinate security assessments, findings, and remediation.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Healthcare experience and relevant certifications are a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead security engineering, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and IAM.
• Oversee security platforms (SIEM/SOAR, endpoint protection, email security, PAM, secure access).
• Manage tools like Rapid7 InsightIDR/InsightVM, Bitdefender GravityZone, Mimecast.
• Strengthen security across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID; monitor posture.
• Lead security investigations with MDR/MDR partners; coordinate containment and recovery.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning, prioritization, remediation tracking, patching across assets.
• Develop incident response runbooks, standards, and repeatable procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, clinicians, and leadership on risk and controls.
• Assess vendor risk and third-party security; oversee MSPs and security partners.
• Mentor a team of three security professionals; drive automation and improvements.
• Communicate risks and priorities to stakeholders; drive governance.
