Job summary

CNO Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead IT Security Architect to shape the security architecture standards and drive the adoption of new technologies across the enterprise. You will partner with IT and business leaders to define information security strategy and ensure appropriate risk controls.

The role requires deep expertise in security frameworks, regulatory considerations like PCI, SOX, and HIPAA/HITECH, and hands-on experience securing applications, networks, and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience and 3+ years in security architect role.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies and associated cybersecurity risks.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain access governance and SoD controls with stakeholders.
• Create security architecture standards for new technology adoption.
• Identify security risks and provide design requirements for IT projects.
• Define information security strategy with IT leaders and business reps.
• Develop dashboards and metrics to inform senior leadership on security risk.
• Evaluate security software/hardware for integration into existing architecture.
• Perform third-party security risk assessments including cloud providers.
