Job summary

Job Talent is seeking a proactive Lead Information Security Engineer to own incident management, threat detection, and the ongoing improvement of our security posture while leading a four-person Information Security team.

You will safeguard our systems and data, drive security excellence, and collaborate with DevOps across cloud environments. This fully remote role offers flexibility across CET time zones and requires strong leadership and hands-on security expertise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SecOps, cloud security, incident response or similar role.
• 3+ years managing a security team, mentoring engineers, prioritizing work.
• 5+ years in threat analysis, SIEM alert investigation, detection engineering, incident management.
• 3+ years working with CSPM tools.
• 5+ years experience at a cloud-based, global tech company.
• Hands-on with EDR/XDR and endpoint investigation.
• Experience with vulnerability management and risk-based prioritization.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, AWS and/or Google Cloud.
• Able to combine hands-on tech with leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of four security professionals, providing direction, mentorship, and performance guidance.
• Own incident management processes, improve investigations, responses, and resolutions.
• Improve threat detection, optimize SIEM alerts, maintain incident response playbooks, strengthen email security.
• Develop and monitor security measures through security policies and standards.
• Drive security tooling improvements and establish best practices across the business.
• Monitor CSPM usage to improve cloud configurations across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and collaborate with DevOps.
• Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews, addressing risks effectively.
• Enhance logging, visibility, and evidence collection across corporate and production systems.
• Lead continuous improvement of security capabilities in response to evolving threats.
