Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior Security Engineer to lead enterprise security operations for a multi-site healthcare network. You will oversee SIEM/XDR platforms, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, email security, and PAM while guiding incident response with managed providers.

You will strengthen security in Microsoft 365/Azure/Entra ID, implement baselines, monitor posture, and drive risk-based remediations. A strong leadership and collaboration capability is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
• At least eight years of experience in information security or security engineering with hands-on administration of production security technologies.
• Two+ years of leadership or mentoring security professionals.
• Experience overseeing managed security partners and leading security investigations.
• Practical experience with SIEM/XDR platforms, vulnerability management, endpoint, email, network, cloud security, and PAM.
• Experience securing Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID, and familiarity with Rapid7 InsightIDR/InsightVM.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization, patch management, and compensating controls.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, and NIST CSF; MFA and conditional access implementation.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python) to automate security processes.
• Ability to coordinate security assessments, interpret findings, and communicate risk to stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proactive risk identification and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise security technologies.
• Maintain and improve security tools like Rapid7 InsightIDR/InsightVM, Bitdefender GravityZone, Mimecast, and Delinea Secret Server.
• Strengthen security across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and other cloud/SaaS environments.
• Oversee security investigations and incident response with managed partners.
• Manage vulnerability scanning, risk prioritization, remediation tracking, and patch management.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and security runbooks.
• Strengthen access controls with MFA, conditional access, and PAM.
• Coordinate annual security risk assessments and HIPAA/NIST-aligned activities.
• Assess vendor/security risks and ensure safeguards for integrations.
• Lead and mentor a team of three security professionals; drive continuous improvement.
• Identify automation opportunities using PowerShell, Python to streamline workflows.
• Communicate risk and remediation progress to IT leadership and clinical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal IT and external partners to maintain healthcare system reliability.
